- NIST is the National Institute of Standards and Technology at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
- The NIST Cybersecurity Framework helps businesses of all sizes better understand, manage, and reduce their cybersecurity risk and protect their networks and data. - The Framework is voluntary.
- The mission of ISOC is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and best practices among the premier speciality orthopaedic institutions in the world and to collaborate on patient care, education, and research-based programs to advance improvements in orthopaedic care on a global scale.
- While the main focus of ISOC will be the organization of an annual meeting in a host-member city, the group will commit each year to support flagship programs in patient care, education, and research.
- Such programs may include:
- A cross-institutional study to analyze and compare patient pathways
- An international fellowship program for physicians to visit ISOC centres
- Charity mission in host country and/or support for and partnership with international health organizations
- ITU-T is one of the three Sectors (branches) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
- It is responsible for coordinating standards for telecommunications and Information Communication Technology.
- The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for many matters related to information and communication technologies. It was established on 17 May 1865 as the International Telegraph Union, significantly predating the UN and making it the oldest UN agency.
- Doreen Bogdan-Martin is the Secretary-General of ITU, the first woman to serve as its head.
- Standards define what great looks like, setting consistent benchmarks for businesses and consumers alike — ensuring reliability, building trust, and simplifying choices.
- It is an international standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations.
- The ISO makes standards and guidelines for a variety of businesses and purposes and publishes technical reports.
